The negotiations of the 1^st International Paralympic Youth Camp with the guest countries has started during the 2008 Beijing Paralympic Games in a dinner organized by our President Mr. Yavuz Kocaomer in Beijing. (Photo 1) The last meeting was held under the leadership of Turkish National Paralympic Committee in Istanbul and an agreement about the camps was signed by Germany, Greece, Netherlands, Turkey and USA. The objective of the International Paralympic Youth Camp is to bring young people of physical disability and visual impairment who are interested in sport, together to meet one another, develop friendship, share experience and learn from each other.

The participant countries are Germany, Greece, Kenya, Netherlands, South Korea, Turkey and USA. With the initiative of Turkish National Paralympic Committee and IPC’s approval, the International Paralympic Youth Camps will continue until the London Paralympic Games with the participant countries every year.
